I am currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for one of the UK’s leading Banking organisations. The role is an initial 6 month contract and will be based in Yorkshire.
The purpose of the vacancy is to act as lead PM on specific area of work to lead the detailed analysis of process, volume, people, training, communication, property, and technology implications of the to be model on a specific environment.
The key responsibilities within your role are as follows:
Lead a project team with cross stakeholder representation to deliver the objectives. Collaborate with the appropriate workstream leads to ensure deliverables are aligned. Including the following:
. Initiation and investigation
. Engagement and management of key stakeholders including suppliers
. Assessment of operational impact including costs and benefits
. Delivery of initiatives through the project lifecycle to agreed time, quality and cost targets
. Provision of progress updates
. Management of project dependencies, risks and issues
. Management of project finances
Core skills:
Experience of working on a large scale Business Change Programme
Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services Sector
Good knowledge of project management disciplines, standards and processes
Project delivery experience
Ability to analyse and interpret complex information in a fast-paced environment
Ability to clearly communicate ideas, proposals and implications to a broad set of stakeholders
Proven ability to work effectively with IT however this is a non-technical role
Excellent stakeholder management
Proven ability to work with senior managers to review, challenge and support business unit strategies as appropriate.
Proven ability to manage risk effectively, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
