Placed interim IT & Transformation Director on a 6 Month contract
Scope
Having had a conversation with the Director of Transformation and Executive Director, it was highlighted that the existing agencies working on the role hadn't fully grasped the importance of previous Constabulary experience in addition to stakeholder management skills and a comprehensive awareness of new technologies available on the market.
It became apparent that a large number of CVs had been reviewed by existing members of the transformation team, with little result.
Using their knowledge of the market, and ability to qualify soft skills, Strategic's Public Sector team were able to quickly identify three candidates that not only had recent Constabulary experience but were instrumental in the transformation of other Police Forces, and the way ICT was utilised within the organisation.
The recruitment process lasted less than one week, with an initial shortlist presented in 24 hours; 2 of the 3 candidates identified were invited for interview, and 1 subsequently offered the position.
The individual placed made a phenomenal impact on the Constabulary. They quickly identified key areas where efficiencies could be made, and established an ambitious yet achievable improvement programme.
The assignment was completed within 6 months and a permanent replacement was hired. This has been described as one of the most critical and significant placements to date.
Cumbria Constabulary have expressed a keen interest in working with Strategic again.
